Pedestrians injured in two separate accidents

The Grand Junction Police Department and Grand Junction Fire Department responded to two separate crashes involving pedestrians Saturday.
Grand Junction Police officers responded to a motorcycle vs. pedestrian crash in the 700 block of Horizon Drive at approximately 11:50 a.m. An adult female and two juveniles were struck by a motorcycle on the roadway.
Emergency personnel with the GJFD transported the adult female to the hospital with serious injuries, and the two juveniles with minor injuries. The juveniles were released to a parent at the hospital after being evaluated by hospital staff.
At 3:15 p.m., a juvenile riding an electric toy was struck by a vehicle in the intersection of North 1st Street and Patterson Road. The juvenile was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Grand Junction Police Department reminds pedestrians to use crosswalks and designated walkways when crossing roadways, and drivers should look out for pedestrians and cyclists. Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department are in the early stages of investigating both crashes.
